2,500 Growers and Ag Robotics Leaders will meet at FIRA USA in Woodland, October 22-24
WOODLAND, Calif. (AgPR) Sept. 16, 2024– The premier event for Ag Robotics and automation for farming FIRA USA 2024 (www.fira-usa.com) co-organized by GOFAR association, Western Growers and the University of California, will once again be outstanding.. Forty-five acres of the Yolo County Fair Grounds in Woodland has been transformed into an in-field demonstration area where dozens of new machines may be seen in action. There will also be round table discussions addressing specific industry needs for automation, autonomous irrigation and perennial crops highlights, special happenings and afterworks… and always new robotics solutions to be showcased. Last but not least: this year, entrance passes for FIRA USA are free of charge for growers.
THE “MUST BE SEEN”
Managed by Western Growers and the University of California - Davis, in-field demos will be set up at the Yolo County Fairgrounds with the support of Taylor Farms, Bullseye Farms, Valley Tractor, Keithly-Williams Seeds and Westlake Pipe. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to watch robots and autonomous solutions working in real operation, while challenging manufacturers and users.
From planting to harvesting, weeding, yield management, irrigation… FIRA USA 2024 will provide growers experiences with dedicated content, qualified solutions in exhibition and live demos. FIRA USA will also be the playground for drones, through the Drone Pavilion by Monterey Bay DART & HawkTower.

The pre-event Ag Robotics Market Tour: from Oct. 17 to 21, 40 participants (out of which Australian and UK delegations) will have the privilege to visit 10 farms using automation in North California. This Tour is sponsored by F3 (Fresno-Merced Future of Food Innovation).
The Open Innovation Day - October 22nd will highlight the latest research projects, lunch and learn with posters presentations… Co-organized by The VINE / UC ANR and sponsored by Stereolabs.
Panel Discussions “Ag Robotics M&A: Why are OEMs in?” - October 22nd at 2 pm, with CNHi, Advanced.farm, AGCO Ventures and Trimble on stage.
Start-up Pitch Session - October 22nd at 3 pm, 10 shortlisted ag robotics startups will have 6 minutes to convince VCs and M&As to fund their projects!

New Holland will be showcasing with a pavilion including their latest ag robotics partners: Bluewhite and Stout Industrial Technology.
Round tables addressing specific needs for automation led by Commodity Boards with presentations on current issues, testimonials, and use cases from producers, and proposed robotic solutions, for each specialty crop industry (nuts, veg, fruits, vine…).
