UnitedAg Celebrates Academy Graduation for the WomenAg and Emerging Leaders Academy

IRVINE, Calif., (AgPR) Dec. 9, 2019. – UnitedAg, www.unitedag.org, a member-owned agricultural trade association representing more than 1,000 organizations Wednesday, December 4, in Westlake Village, Calif., celebrated the graduation of the 3rd Leadership Class of the WomenAg Leadership Academy and the 2nd Emerging Leaders Academy.

Ten members of the third WomenAg Leadership Academy and four members of the second Emerging Leaders Academy celebrated the completion of their leadership development experience. Reception and dinner were held at the Westlake Village Inn in Westlake, CA.

The event was attended by UnitedAg directors, trustees, committee members, members and family. Guest speakers included AJ Cisney of Rancho Guadalupe, Veronica Urzua-Alvero of Church Brothers, LLC / True Leaf Farms, LLC and Raul Solis of Curation Foods, Inc.

The graduation was a culmination of a one-year program that focused on the unique needs of agriculture. The fourteen members of the graduating class were identified as rising leaders who participated in workshops and coursework designed to develop their leadership skills.

“It is such an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to grow and develop your leadership skills,” says AJ Cisney, UnitedAg Board Chairman.  “To have an organization support your leadership development is priceless.  Uncovering and discovering is a journey that will only make us better leaders.”

UnitedAg has developed and cultivated the Leadership Academy for a select group of women and emerging leaders in the ag community to network with and learn from highly experienced and accomplished agricultural community leaders, both men and women, who educate and mentor the class as they develop their expertise and define their own leadership paths. UnitedAg will continue this mission in 2020.
